Hey Beauties,

I'm headed to Mexico with 15-25 people the day after finals ends (we leave on May 6th - thats a sunday).  It's a short trip as we will return mid-day on Friday the 11th.  This is a very spontaneous trip in a way because it was just announced a week ago yesterday, but the response has been phenomenal and they (my church on campus) are even considering sending two teams.  I just want to ask for prayer, because there is a lot to get prepared for this trip between now and finals week, which means we will be busy with a lot of things along with these trip preparations.  I am very excited because God is awesome and He is totally in this and He is leading us (why else would we decide this trip was so important so last minute).  The leader of the trip stepped out in faith one day and laid down a downpayment on the trip saying he would have a team that week, then told us.  He's been there a few other times (with Casas por Cristo - the orangization we will be working with) to do this same work and felt really led to take another group that week.  We have had two meetings and are going to have a meeting every Thursday after a bible study we go to at the church.  I need to renew my passport and tons of people still need to get one.  Many haven't ever been on missions trips, which is really exciting...because as you all know, God changes lives and makes faith real on these trips.  I am very excited, but there is a lot that needs to be done and a few things that I really need prayer for...One very big issue for me is support letters.  I am already going on a trip to New Orleans over Spring Break to help with Hurricane Katrina relief...that money is coming in and we are really getting a good response from our support letters, but the thing is 3 of us (Eric, Janelle, and I) are going on both trips, so we need to think of the best way to do our support letters (we hate to write the same people a month later asking for more money) and Janelle's parents won't let her write support letters.  I know God is fatihful, so don't worry, I'm not freaking out, I just want your faithful prayers (make sure you pray with confidence before God and pray knowing He is mighty to save and will answer us and love us and teach us through His answers to our prayers).  Thank you so much girls.

If any of you would like me to send a support letter (you don't necessarily have to support me financially, but your prayers mean everything), just post a comment on here and when I get my letters written out I will be sure to include you.  One more thing about this topic, We began talking about support raising last night at the meeting and he wants a copy of our support letter in 2-3 days from now, so I know that is a tight squeeze, but we are on a limited time frame.  I am meeting with Todd (our leader) next week sometime for lunch, so hopefully he has some awesome information for me and I can pass that all on to all of you.

I love you girls (and boys) and pray for you all the time....

Let me know how you are doing.
